Mr. Corey L. Posey is a seasoned Higher Education professional with 19 years of professional experience in Student Affairs, Educational Policy and College Admissions.  Mr. Posey’s expertise is in the areas of College Readiness, Student Leadership, Community Engagement and Multicultural Student Retention.  His philosophy statement on Higher Education is “If You Can Learn, You Can Grow”.

 

In his role at USFSM, Mr. Posey provides guidance and collaboration for initiatives, programs and trainings for the campus and Sarasota-Manatee community in order to promote a culture of inclusion and equity as it relates to diversity issues. He works collaboratively with the USF System Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunity to share best practices and leverage resources.

 

Mr. Posey has earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education & Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Salisbury University.
