Ryan contributes towards Amgen’s mission to serve patients as part of the Global Learning Solutions team by supporting the worldwide internal development of training content for all functions, at Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa. Ryan is also a member of the Diversity Inclusion & Belong Learning Council which ensures Amgen’s enterprise-wide learning supports the DI&B strategy.
In addition to his role, Ryan serves as the local Chair for the Amgen PRIDE Employee Resource Group. Amgen’s PRIDE ERG impact is visible throughout the organization, and works to drive continuous improvements in company policies and the work environment, provides support and networking opportunities for members, and promotes activities within Amgen that raise awareness about the LGBTQ community; all in an effort to make Amgen the most attractive company for the best talent.
Amgen’s Tampa PRIDE chapter has hosted a variety of panel discussion involving Amgen Senior Leadership and Guest Speakers with Ryan moderating discussions focused on increasing allyship and encouraging authentic conversations about issues that impact the LGBTQ community. While serving as Tampa PRIDE ERG Chair, Amgen was recognized as a 2021 Business of PRIDE honoree by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Ryan hopes to continue growing the local PRIDE ERG, its impact on staff, and external visibility in the Tampa community.
