Diversity, Inclusion, & Advocacy
At Broward Health Medical Center our workplace culture of diversity and inclusion is top driven. Hiring and caring for a diverse population is a priority. I cannot think of an organization where diversity could be more relevant than healthcare. As a hospital a diverse team translates to better understanding and superior patient care. It makes sense and is good for business.
Carrie is a Human Resource professional with experience in all functional areas of HR, including: labor laws, compliance, employee relations, and leadership trainings. She is a management and employee supporter that collaborates with others to inspire, and develop Diversity & Inclusion strategies, conduct trainings and assist in organizing systemwide events throughout the organization. Research, plan, and develop ongoing learnings in DEI. Extensive knowledge in cultures and understanding of the importance of diversity and equity through personal and professional experiences. Fosters an inclusive environment through the creation of regional councils. As an advocate, investigates without bias, addressing issues that may violate employees’ right and mediates with fairness that is consistent in the treatment of all.
She is a past board chair at the Jewish Federation of Broward County and is currently a member of Women in Healthcare.
