Chief Communications & Social Responsibility Officer
Eric Nyquist serves as NASCAR’s Chief Communications & Social Responsibility Officer, managing the league’s public relations, communications and social responsibility platforms. Nyquist has held a number of senior leadership roles his 15+ years with NASCAR, including managing over a dozen different disciplines, including strategic development, business affairs, entertainment marketing, technology, human resources and partnership marketing.
With nearly 25 years of sports experience, Nyquist previously worked in Chicago as Executive Vice President with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox franchises. Prior to his time there, Nyquist worked in New York as lead strategic analyst for Roger Goodell at the National Football League. Nyquist started his career in graduate school working for the US Women’s National Soccer team in Chicago.
Nyquist, a native of Albert Lea, MN, holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Carleton College, a master’s in business administration from the University of Chicago and a law degree from the University of Chicago. Eric resides in Lake Mary, FL, and is married with three children.
