Christina Bottomley

Head of Real Estate

Christina Bottomley has led the company’s real estate organization since September 2020. She is responsible for all aspects of CSX’s real estate, including leveraging real estate to support the company’s operations, acquiring, selling and leasing property, and property management. In addition, Ms. Bottomley oversees capital planning for the entire company, which includes identifying and vetting capital projects to support current objectives and future growth.


Ms. Bottomley brings nearly 20 years of transaction, finance and accounting experience to CSX. Prior to this role, Ms. Bottomley was the Chief Accounting Officer for Forward Air, a publicly traded trucking company in East Tennessee, where she was responsible for accounting, investor relations, treasury and acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Bottomley started her career in consulting at PwC in Boston and KPMG in Jacksonville before going into industry at a Regency Centers, a public real estate investment trust (REIT) in Jacksonville.


Ms. Bottomley received an undergraduate and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida.
