Richard Senker

Hillsborough Community College

Richard serves as Hillsborough Community College’s Vice President for Academic Affairs. He has more than 20 years of experience working at several colleges and universities, both public and private. As a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science, and former Department Chair for three academic programs, Richard has strong program and curriculum development skills which have helped him to foster partnerships at the college, and with businesses and community leaders. Prior to HCC, Richard worked in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Florida.
 

Richard is in the final stages of completing a doctorate of philosophy in Instructional Technology at the University of South Florida (USF). He earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at USF, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA. His research interests include teaching with technology and digital games, online learning, student support and success, technology literacy, and instructional design.
