David Ratz is the Director of Promotions and Special Events for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. David oversees the in-park promotions, theme nights, giveaways and general fan atmosphere for the Jumbo Shrimp, as well as overseeing all non-gameday private events in 121 Financial Ballpark. Prior to joining the Jumbo Shrimp, David spent over 13 years as Director of Promotions for Cox Media Group, producing everything from golf tournaments to concerts and more. During David’s tenure overseeing the promotions department the Jumbo Shrimp won the Southern League’s Promotional Trophy twice, in 2017 and again in 2019, before making the jump to Triple-A.
